Professional Face Painting Level 1 Certification Course
Learning Hours: The course totals 2 hours, divided into theory and practice. Under instructor guidance, students will quickly grasp core face painting skills through demonstrations and live practice – zero‑based beginners can easily get started.
Study Duration: One‑day course.
Entry Requirements:
- Aged 12 or above
- Understand Cantonese, Mandarin or English
- Basic Chinese or English literacy
Assessment Fee: Waived (all assessment fees included in tuition, no hidden costs)
- Painter Guidelines & Safety Basics: Understand hygiene standards, allergy prevention and precautions for face painting, build professional safety awareness
- Tools & Paints Introduction: Recognise various paint brushes, sponges, paints and correct usage methods
- Basic Lines & Patterns Practice: Master basic line techniques for face painting and stabilise hand movements through practice
- Stamping & Blending Techniques: Learn gradient, stamping and other effect creation methods to build three‑dimensional layers
- Common Face Painting Patterns Practice: Practice common animal, floral and cartoon patterns for children's parties and themed events
- Colour Matching & Composition Techniques: Learn colour theory, master colour matching for different skin tones and themes, and facial composition methods
- Deconstructed Face Painting Instruction: Step‑by‑step breakdown of classic face painting techniques to lower the learning curve
- Template Practice & Free Creation: Improve efficiency through template practice while encouraging free creation of personal style artwork
- In‑Class Practical Observation: Instructors observe students' practical performance during class, providing immediate guidance and improvement suggestions
- Post‑Class Submission: Students are required to submit photos of designated face painting works after class as a record of learning outcomes
- Work Quality Assessment: Instructors conduct a comprehensive evaluation based on line fluency, colour matching, pattern completeness, and creative expression
- Passing Standard: The minimum passing requirement is completion of in‑class exercises and submission of works, evaluated as satisfactory by the instructor
- Students must meet the course attendance requirement to obtain the course certificate

Registration & Deposit
A deposit is required to register for a course. The deposit will be deducted from the total course fee. Upon confirmation of registration, the applicant is responsible for paying the remaining balance of the total course fee.
Fees & Payment
You may pay the full amount, or pay a deposit and settle the remaining balance no less than 7 days before the course starts. Failure to pay the balance by the due date will result in loss of your seat.
With the School’s approval, an installment plan may be available. You must authorise direct debit and set this up at least 10 working days before the course starts. Late or missed payments will result in removal from the installment plan, and you must pay the outstanding balance within 10 working days.
Under all circumstances, all payments made are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellation & Refunds
If a student is unable to attend or complete the course for any of the following reasons: personal issues, illness, change of mind, relocation, pregnancy, family illness or bereavement, change in personal circumstances, failure to obtain a visa or loan, fees and deposits will not be refunded, nor will any future course credit be granted. The student remains liable for any unpaid fees.
Materials & Kits
Unless otherwise stated for the course (excluding laser courses), all students must purchase a tool kit and a towel pack, and bring them on each training day. Failure to do so will result in inability to attend class / practice / be assessed.
Students are required to practice on fellow students. If a student needs to bring their own model for medical reasons, they must provide written notice in advance.
Changes by the School
The School reserves the right to change course dates or locations. At least 48 hours’ notice will be given where possible.
Certificate Collection
Students must collect their certificate from the School within six months of receiving the notification of certificate readiness. After this period, the School will no longer keep the certificate.
